What Gratitude Means To Me...

Gratitude is the first step to healing. Start small: think of three things you’re grateful for—no matter how tiny. Three things I'm grateful for today and this week:
1. My four precious, amazing, adorable kitties: Nemo, Eevee, Kirby, and Ollie!
2. The ability to walk.
3. A safe(ish) place to live, lol.
If you’re struggling, just breathe. Inhale for eight, hold for seven, exhale for four. Keep going until gratitude finds you. If you're still breathing, there is hope.
When we practice gratitude, even in the smallest ways, we shift our perspective. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking—a warm cup of tea, the way sunlight dances on the wall, or the sound of your favorite song. These tiny moments of appreciation create ripples that can transform your day.
If you’re feeling stuck, try this: place your hand on your heart, close your eyes, and breathe. Picture something comforting—a hug, a favorite memory, or even the steady rhythm of your breath. Gratitude doesn’t always come naturally, but it’s a muscle you can strengthen over time.
Life isn’t always kind or easy, but in each moment, we have the power to reclaim a sense of peace, even if it’s fleeting. Gratitude isn’t about ignoring pain—it’s about finding light in the cracks. Let it guide you to what’s still good and worth celebrating.
Start today: what’s one small thing you can say “thank you” for? Let that be your anchor.
"Only this moment exists, and in this moment, I am O.K."
