Too Much But Never Enough: Done.

Too Much But Never Enough: Done.

There are only so many times a person can endure being told they are too much. By the ones they have sacrificed the most for and love the most. It's not self-victimization when it's blatant disrespect.

Too loud. Too emotional. Too dramatic. Too liberal. Too morbid. Too narcissistic. Too controversial. Too crazy. Too sensitive. Too opinionated. Too offensive. Too… everything.

And yet, not once do I hear the reverse. We don’t rush to tell the “normal” or the “quiet” that they’re “too little” or “not enough.” We don’t call the stoic or emotionally detached “too boring” or “unimaginative.” The kind-hearted outcasts don’t label the ones who numb themselves just to keep up a façade as “too unoriginal” or “too empty.”

We know the pain of being constantly tempered by negativity, until your personality, your perspective, and your pride have to go numb just to survive certain social settings. And the hardest part? It’s usually from the people who are supposed to — who claim to — care about you the most.

Those of us who are told we’re “too much” are often the ones holding the emotions that others bury. We absorb what others cannot carry. We sing, we cry, we shout, we create — and for this, we are punished with labels and silenced with, “Calm down,” “Shut up,” or “No one cares.”

Even the things I’ve created — my art, my music, my words — have been dismissed simply because I use new tools to expand them. As if my being a published poet, a singer, and an artist before AI ever existed is suddenly erased. As if the soul that bleeds into everything I make is somehow invalid.

But here’s the truth:

We are not too much.

We are expansive.

We are important.

We are worthy.

And our expansiveness terrifies those who have built tiny rooms around themselves.

It is not us who are the problem. It is the world’s inability to hold our fire without burning.

So let them call us dramatic. Problematic. Excessive.

We know the truth.

We are the ones who feel in high-definition.

We are the ones who create something out of nothing.

We are the ones who carry emotions for those who can’t even face their own.

We are not “too much.”

We are exactly enough.

We are the ones who make the world wake up.

— "I’m over being told I’m too much. Too loud, too emotional, too crazy, too controversial, too sensitive. While they bury, we feel. While they numb, we create. While they scold, we encourage. We are not too much; we are the ones keeping humanity's heart beating. They just can’t feel the defibrillator working."

Love and Peace to all—of course!
